Sunday Boat
« on: June 29, 2009, 07:02:14 PM »

left manasquan in a stiff n wind dead in our face by the end of the day we came back in a stiff south, no fair no easy ride either way.  started at the red church area and found sea bass and the fluke were grouped up in tight spots in 40 ft or so.  I had a few just miss keepers 1 keeper and shorts. at the shrew rocks was same thing in tight spots and then hard to go back over the same track with the drift.  Thought we d have bass at magic hour, bunker was tough to locate with the white caps, found a nervous pod but we got too close due to the visiblity and spooked whatever bass was there.   Seems they thined out maybe, I still suspect there could be one more wave of fish.
