Started out in front of the sea streak, a couple of shorts for Dad had I and a few sea robins. Got a call from Doormat Dan, his wife just boated a nice 20" in the Navesink and released several shorts to 17". So off we go back to the Navesink. Fished for several hours playing catch and release with countless numbers of shorts. Dad did boat a nice 17 1/2" fish very thick a shame to release such a nice fish would have made some good table fare. Back at the house and cleaned up by 1:30. Navesink was getting very crowded with boats arriving early to see the fireworks. Happy 4th to all.
