Still hammering away at the seabass. The fishing has been good . The wind has been a bit of an issue the last 2 days and has really affected the total catch. On 7/7 I had Blackfish Doug and my pop out for some knuckle heads. The plan was to get a good catch early before the wind came on a be in by lunch time. The guys hit them pretty good and finished with 37 keeper seabass and 3 nice ling before I had to pull the plug due to building seas. Today 7/8 I had the guys from The Dock Outfitters (Scott and Chuck) out for some more wreck fishing . With the NW wind forcasted the day started with high hopes only to be dashed when we were greeted with a tight NE chop on the ocean. The wind and seas slopped up most of the morning and forced us to scratch out a pick of keepers. Around 11am the conditions improved and the so did the bite. We called it a day at 1pm with 53 keeper seabass to 19" , 2 fat ling and 1 jumbo porgie. The best part about these last two trips is these fine fisherman like to clean there own fish
. Blackfish season is only a week away. I can't wait to start adding some big blackies to the mix.Catchem up all and good luck
