Hit the back bay this morning with my trout fsihng buddy. Late start due to work getting in the way. Headed out back and worked the channels, edges and flats w/o sheeot to show for it. Kept hammering away at it on the incoming, but nothing happened for us.
Tide turned and we moved E hitting some drops/holes in the shallows to no avail.
Moved to the Keansburg Canyon then off Conkosonk. Our bucktailing produced 1 keeper (yeah I'll never live it down!!!) and "some" shorts.
Fishing was great, catching sucked.
Overall, good stuff for sure. The Sweetwater Man kicked my ass!!!!!! Time to throw the braided line and Avets out and buy some golf clubs!!!!!
One 21" keeper and thats it (I'll never hear the end of it!!!!) Good company, good laughs.
BTW, trout rods on the fluke grounds can make ANY fish look BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
