Rain was predicted, clouds and thunderstorms, none of that happened, just a partly cloudy day with warm temperatures and a nice SW breeze. Tom and I decided to fish the Sandy Hook Bay due to weather reports. Turns out to have been a good choice as I caught my personal best a five-pound Fluke as measured by Ed the marine fish surveyor. Tom landed four keeper Fluke up to 20½". I scored with an equal number of keepers for a combined total for the morning of eight. We had the bay all to ourselves with only the occasional clammer passing by our Honey Hole. Killies were the hot bait as we started this morning gradually changing to Sea Robin strips and Gulp™ baits. Pete fished on 7-16-09
