Sea Hawk weekend recap 7/18-19
« on: July 20, 2009, 02:33:47 PM »
Was chartered both trips on Saturday. Morning trip was loads of fun with a great group that definetely had a great time with fishing as the secondary motive for the trip. Had a decent pick of fluke overall. chrz

Afternoon trip we started out jigging for blues and had a good pull of fish right away. After they had enough of the blues we switched to fluke and had a slow pick of them.

Sunday's morning charter started out with a tough pick of fluke and then switched later to drifting worms for bass. Got some bass, sea bass that is.

Top fluke for these trips ranged from 4-6lbs.

Our Sunday open boat Magic Hours trip had a good crowd show up and was a pick of keepers overall. High hook had 3 and pool fish was 6lb 11oz.

Capt Rob had the boat out today with a small group and they had a pick for most of the day. Was slow due to drifting conditions, but towards the end they were into some good action. Many more shorts than keepers, but did pick through for some. Was told high hook had 3 keepers and pool fish went around 4.5lbs.
