BEACH HAVEN — A four-man U.S. Coast Guard rescue crew came to the aid of a man who sustained a serious cut on a fishing boat 110 miles from the shore on Sunday morning.

According to Petty Officer Jonathan Lindberg, the Coast Guard received an emergency call at 7:21 a.m. from a crew member aboard the fishing vessel, Captain Bob.
The Coast Guard dispatched the rescue by helicopter crew to the boat.
The unidentified 22-year old man was then transported by helicopter to the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station in Atlantic City.
An emergency vehicle took him to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Campus in Pomona for further treatment.
Lindberg said there is no ongoing investigation into the incident and it is considered an accident.
The cut was located below the crew member's elbow.
