Great to see this old purple heart back in action. John (AKA Grey Hippie) has been a fixture aboard the Big Mohawk for sooo many years and would drive 2hrs 3x's/week just to get his fix right up until he was 85. Last summer he had a major stroke and has spent every day battling and vowing that he would return.........
Finally after one year he made it back. If there were no fish caught on Tuesday it still would have been a great day just to see that old hip on board.
Needless to say it was a great day. Fishing was picky, not a tremendous amount of life, but there were some quality fish caught including this 11 lb doormat. Way to go "yeah-baby" Jimmy "the iron worker". Finally broke the 10 lb barrier. Beautiful fish!
