Christine had a rare moment free so we headed out this afternoon to see if any fishesiz was about. Got some intel from Eddie Hunter2 that said go west, notsoyoung man, so we did. First couple drifts not too much going on, a few shorts. Then the incoming got rollin and with it the wind made for a 2+kt drift. Toughed it out, tried a few different spots to try to optimize the westward drift; nothing but shorts. Difficult bucktailing, we were using 7oz to hold. Headed back by the Keyport Flats where it was a little calmer but nada goin on. Gave a shout out to Capt. Jerry C. who happened to be into some shorts but a steady pick. We made the move over by him and BANG BANG, well not quite like that, but put 2 keepers in the box. Fish were hitting squid, killies, spearing, gulp, you name it, they ate it. No real size to the fish, but a great day out with my bride nonetheless.
