Hunter 2-Sat Aug 1st 2009 Raritan bay report

[Hunter 2]

Left the dock in Keyport around 9am with cashin and massbaster. We head out to Ambrose channel to try some deepwater Fluking. The tide was ripping and we had a 2 1/2 mph drift. We saw the Coast Guard doing several  vessel inspections in that area. I made a couple of moves in That area and we had no luck with the fish. We went to the sandy hook area and there were hundreds of boats around but I did not see or have any action. we decided to go and try the raritan reach channel by buoy 42 and we boated 7 short fluke in a short amount of time. We called it a day and decided to end this nice day by the pool.   Good luck,  Eddie

a bad day of fishing is better then sitting home i was crabbing down in brick only 2 dozzen keepers between two of us useing 16 nets and everyone else did worse then us
