Help Identify fish

Aug 4 th in the Shark River Inlet around 6 PM, my father took these pics between his and my uncles boat.
He has never seen anything like them before 5hrug , he said there were afew around, please help !! lol

Forgot to describe, sorry.
He said they were about 2 inches long but the streamers on the fish were about 2 feet long.

It is so hard to tell what is fish and what is reflection in the picture.  Can you describe them at all?

Do they look like this at all?
