Left the Marina in Keyport with My neighbor John the (deadstick donut eater) around 7:30 went tothe raritan reach area to the Buoys in the 40ish numbers. The tide was changing and we had no drift. The water was cleaner than Tuesday and it was dead calm. The weather was okay with a slight drizzle.
After around 15 minutes I decided to head up by Round shoal because the drift would be better. We made around 5 different drifts with no fish
. The tide started moving better so we went back to our original spot near buoy 4?
. I think my bucktail hit the Fluke on the head because it hit immediately. First keeper in the box. Then came the shorts. Then another Keeper. I did some Networking with A.J (Peggylee) who was chatting with Dennis (Kezr) on the VHF. They were boating some keepers by the Navy pier. I decided to stay were I was and hope for the best. We called it quits at 1pm and had caught 24 Fluke with only 2 keepers. The bait we used was Spearing, Killie's. Peanut Bunker and Squid. We had fun and made it home safe. Good Luck!
