BEACH HAVEN — A Richboro, Pa., woman suffered a serious head injury after a boat carrying her and her husband struck a buoy, state police said.

Police would not identify the 55-year-old woman until her family could be notified. She was flown by SouthStar helicopter from Surf City to Atlantic City Regional Medical Center, City Campus, to be treated for her injuries, police said.

The boat struck the intercoastal waterway marker 109 buoy, just off Beach Haven, at about 2 p.m. Her fall after the collision caused her injuries, police said.

Plus the fact that they took out the buoy.  I heard the Notice to Mariners on 16 after it happened.
