Hello all, I have a simple question about what size weights to use for your typical fish (fluke, sea bass, blues and stripers). I prefer using lighter weights between 2-3 oz., rarely 4 and that seems to do okay, but my 3 guy fisher-buddies say that you need heavy weights like 6 oz.+. Am I right or them? I know a lot depends on current, wind, tide, etc. but for your typical easy-going day what should I be using? Thing is I tend to be high hook on the boat but with no keepers except a 14 inch sea bass I caught last weekend. Any tips?
Also, I've been searching all morning for Loran coordinates of Shrewsbury Rocks, Axel Carlson Reef, Shark River and Sea Girt Reefs - can anyone help me out? I know Loran is ancient but that's what we have on our little boat and I'd be much appreciative if anyone could help me out.
One more quick question too...is there any particular depth that helps aide in catching fish? At 70 ft. we hit a school of Sea Bass and a few good fluke but no keepers. Just wondering. Thanks a lot for the help!

P.S. I go for mainly fluke though my friends try for stripers so any additional info. or tips would be great!
