Had a great day of fishing IBSP today (by my standards anyway).
Went out around noon on the end of outgoing. Small blues in the 1-2lb range and Robins were plentiful.
Surf was rough, lot of grass and weeds in the water, water was cloudy and LOTS of that tiny jelly like creatures. Stayed for a hour or two.
Kept two of the blues for bait for later.
Back out around dinner time for the end of incoming targeting Jaws.
As we were setting up, the people just to the south of us get a double banger. Two little kids, maybe 5 and 7 brought in two small sharks with grandpa's help. They were so excited. Very cool
Shortly after getting our lines in the water, the first rod doubles over. Quickly brought in my first shark. Dogfish maybe 30in. It's no 6ft brownie, but I'll take what I can get.
Up until high tide we also got a Robin, my first skate and a few other missed hits.
Once the tide started moving back out, not another tap. Called it quits after about 2 hours.
Water in the evening was rough, dirty and loaded with grass.
