It was nice to finally be able to get out and fish, enjoy the weather, and listen to the throaty gurgle of the inboard all day, as we had planned to troll inshore and look for a bite.
Headed out to the SGR area and set up, just a few boats around bottom fishing. Made several passes up one side, down the other and around the Klondike, no takers. We had noticed some bait and markings on the way out the inlet, but didn't bother to set up there as the water looked pretty dirty. Actually, wasn't that clean at the reef either, so we decided to make a run out to Little Italy. Water cleared up real nice, beautiful in fact, as we pulled lures over the hump into the deep water. Found a weedline and worked that up and down, but recorded no bait or markings of any kind. Three other boats working the area, but didn't see any sign of action.
Finally headed back into the dirty inside water where we marked bait earlier and ran up past Asbury and back to finnish the day, still marking, but couldn't get a rod to go down.
No fish, but the boat ran great and it turned out to be a gorgeous day on the water.
