Capt. John/ Reel Fun/ Inshore Report
« on: September 24, 2009, 12:04:03 PM »
Fellow anglers,

Just wanted to alert you all to the great Bluefishing right off the beach at Sandy Hook for those who are interested. Mixed in along with these "bruisers" are Albies (speed burners) which are great fun on light tackle too.

I am running charters for Bluefish/Albies right now as we await the arrival of Stripers which is based upon the water temps in our area. When the Stripers show up in good numbers is anybody's guess so keep in touch with this report section and if I have your email and/or phone numbers I will contact you (many of this years past charters and you know who you are) as soon as the bigger fish arrive.

It looks, as of now, the the Weakfish run is turning into a bust, but that could change at any time this month. IF they do show up in good numbers, I'm pretty sure it will be a very short season for them, so stay tuned.

I'm also available to bottom fishing trips for Sea Bass and Porgies which has been very good as of late. Some really BIG Porgies have been caught down at Shrewsbury Rocks as well as the Sandy Hook Reef at my spots, so don't hesitate to call now for some great bottom action.

Tight Lines and Following Seas,

Capt. John
