Capt. John/ Reel Fun/ Inshore Outlook

Sept. 29, 2009

Fellow anglers,

Water temperatures are dropping and are now 64 degrees on my fishfinder, but that hasn't equated to any substantial number of Stripers yet, and I repeat yet! It's only a matter of time when the fall run of Stripers will break open so be patient and be ready to go when I give you a call (to all my customers out there.)

There's no shortage of baitfish out there also, so that's not an issue here. It's just a matter of waiting for the Stripers to move into our area as the waters cool down to their comfort level. Will continue to keep you all informed about Striper sightings here in the Monmouth County area of NJ. I have "remote" eyes and ears out there so stay tuned.

Tight Lines and Following Seas,

Capt. John
