Surf fishing in the dark
« on: October 27, 2009, 03:21:27 PM »
The dollar store sells those little glow sticks for a buck.  You get 2 each, of 4 colors in a pack.  I stick 'em to my rod tip at night to see it better.  Works awesome.
I was wondering, has anyone ever attached one to the backside of their hook on a rig before?  You'd think it would attract some curious fish.  It'd be like Joe's Diner out there with clams on the specials board.

Any ideas?

Jason, I like to keep my rigs simple (like my life)but somehow others always seem to complicate and $%^& it up. rofla
Seriously, the less is best. I do use a small flashlite and always turn towards the beach not the water when using it.
Good Luck.

I know some guys like to use them on their chum hooks for bluefish on the party boats.
