11/7 Bruce B Charter for Stripers
« on: November 07, 2009, 05:32:39 PM »
Set out today with Bruce B and Friends for Stripers, a little Chilly but nice, real good conditions.

Set up on Romer and was clamming heavy on the incoming.......1 Skate, other wise not a touch. Did not see a fish landed or net move around us.

Pulled up anchor and was going to run to the clam beds on the outside. Ran across some great reads between the channels, bait balled up mid water column and fish holding under them.

Threw everything at them, zip, nodda nothing.

Got out the wire and began trolling, way to many marks not to get a fish. Almost right away began hooking up Choppers to 9 lbs and Bass to 26".

Many doubles on an unbrella rig, 2 bass, a bass and blue, 2 blues. Could not break that 28" mark.

All the fish were gourged with sand eels.

Tried jigging on more reads but nothing.

Boys had a blast, reeling in many fish....kept several blues for the skillet.

All in all a greta day with great guys TT^ TT^ TT^
