last trip for the Striped ones 11/9

out of Sayreville this morning around 6 with Stew(SaltyDog)and Ben with a boat load of fresh clams,plan for the day was to commit to clamming.headed straight to Romers Shoal,tried there,Flynn's Knoll,along the beach,in the rip and a few spots in the back,all with the same results,nothing but the elusive skate.beautiful day out there today for this time of the year but we couldn't catch fish.decided to make this my last trip,I extended the season long enough with the open boat,been going out since the first week in April,want to winterize and cover up before the cold sets in.great having Stew and Ben out with me the last couple of tries,met them thru the site,great guys and good fishing buddies,to bad I couldn't get them on the bite.always next season.     Kez

Great season you had Kez.

Although it's time to put the boat to bed for the year it doesn't mean the fishing is over. It would pay to take Capt Ron's advise and jump on his boat to keep the season going. Still a lot of catching going on.
