IBSP 2-2-2010
« on: February 02, 2010, 06:23:13 PM »
Was there today from about 8am til noon about 1/4 mile north of the pocket was great weather and good looking water but dead unfortunately used frozen bunker small bits of clams as well as topwater lure and metals. (i came prepared) Sand was in really good condition with the exception of the second access coming from the north. Was nice to get out though and starting to familiarize myself with the beach for spring  >:D oh and i even saw some other guys fishing  cfzd they appeared to be just driving down the beach stopping occasionally casting lures.

Sad report lol  nosmly

Nice to see someone out there! I'm gearing up and preparing for the spring.

This is my year for my first surf striper!

Sad, not at all.  This time of year is rough and you really have to be at the right place at the right time.  Sunup and sundown really come into play here as well.

Read the beach with a fine tooth comb and pick your spots carefully.  They're out there but hard to find.

Jeff, as for your first beach striper, well all I have to say is you got to put your time in.  Once you learn to read the beach ans know where the structure is your luck will turn into success at the end of your line.

Good luck to all that venture out onto the beach this year.  Lets all keep in touch via cell phones and maybe this year will be a banner year for all of us.

Happy Catching
