Sun April 11th report
« on: April 12, 2010, 09:54:37 AM »
Met Lee (aka The Kup) at KMB at 7am.

Loaded Lee's Sea Hunt and pushed off.

As Lee was pulling out of the slip he noticed right away that he had no steering  ???

It's a good thing we were close to the dock.

The wind pushed us back in the slip & we tied the boat to the slip.

Lee says Art I will go up to the office at KMB & speak with Bob & John and explain the problem.5 minutes later I see Lee carrying something from a distance. All of a Sudden now I hear the guys from the office paging Lee over the loud speaker.

Lee runs back to the office & finds out that Bob & John had instructions how to fix the problem. It took Lee 10 minutes to fix the problem.

The problem was fixed & we pushed off again.

On our way out Lee's Fish finder / Depth finder started acting up  ???

Now Lee says Art there must be a problem with the Transducer.

Lee takes a look at the Transducer & it was pointed up not down.

Problem fixed.

I now point Lee in the right direction and we set up on the 1st spot.We Started a slick and I told Lee let's give this spot a half hr.20 minutes later I said Lee let's move

Lee made another move & we started a slick.

This spot we gave it 15 minutes and nothing was happening.

Now I turn to Lee & I said let's go to the reliable spot that we caught them at last year.Lee got us to the spot & we set up.

I had a good feeling that this spot would be on.

Started the slick of all slicks  ;D & within 10 minutes we had bites.I missed the 1st few Bass but Lee caught the 1st Bass. The next 2 hrs of the ebb the Bass started chewing right through Slack tide.Once the tide swung it was over.

A rough start at first but after that things got better.

Congrats to Lee for landing his 1st keeper of 2010  chrz

Lee a Big Thanks as always !

Nice report Art. Sounds like things fell into place once you got the kinks out.  t^
