Sea Hawk 4/18 Striped Bass report
« on: April 18, 2010, 08:43:16 PM »
Started out fishing clams and could only pick away at the stripers. Did manage some keepers but action was too slow so we decided to make a run.
Headed down the beach and jigged away at some keepers.

Action was pretty decent overall but spotty. One angler managed to jig up a keeper cod as a bonus. The jigging action died down after a while for us so we headed back to the clam-spot for the last half-hour of the trip. Only managed another keeper there.

Some did catch their limit of stripers today, but overall the action was slower than the last few trips we've made.

Forgot the PM trip report:

Had a small group out for the Sunday PM trip and was a tough pick of keeper bass.  Did manage 6 keepers and released plenty of shorts so the action was fairly decent.
