Water Pump, which rebuild kit to buy
« on: April 24, 2010, 02:53:08 PM »
I know i need to rebuild the water pump this yeah( I am assuming the owner before me didnt do it last year and I want to be on the safe side. But there are three kits from SIM Yamaha, but not sure which one to get:

STANDARD WATER PUMP REPAIR KIT  61$
COMPLETE WATER PUMP REBUILD KIT 110$
DELUXE SIM YAMAHA WATER PUMP REBUILD KIT  75$

I know to be on the safe side i should do the whole thing and just bit the extra 50$ and peice of mind.  Just looking for opinions here.  Thanks

The trouble with fishing is it was better before you got there, and after you left.

t^ I always go with a complete kit of something. From experience, when i didn't there was always a part that i needed which wasn't included.

Go with the complete kit, this will include the water pump housing (The big white plastic thing). If the one you take out is in good shape, next time you can save the $50 and go with the cheaper kit. <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><
