Bunker
« on: May 25, 2010, 09:03:06 PM »
I am new to striper fishing and i went at the other day. And i have a few questions. I got tons of bunker and one promblem i had was keepind them alive. Another promblem I had was the fish were bitting the tales of if i hooked it in the heand and bit the head off if i hooked it in the tail. All comments are hoped for. 5hrug

at one point we saw the blues follow the bait up to the boat. What is better the whole bunker or just the head

For stripers I like to use whole live bunker and hook em thru the meaty part of mouth / cheek......when not trolling / jigging
BUT if I am chunking i'll cut the bunker in half or thirds and always use the head.  ;)
