Sea Tiger II 05/17 PM trip
« on: May 17, 2010, 11:46:17 PM »
Got to the Atlantic Highlands Marina around 1pm and met my buddy Tom. Decided to jump on the Sea Tiger as there was hardly anyone on board.
Capt. Hal went out with only 5 fares so it was like a private charter on a 70' boat.
Temp. in the low 70s and light winds made for flat seas and a beautiful afternoon.
We set up on the edge of Flynn's Knoll and clammed up some decent sized striper's in the 35" mid to upper teen class size fish.
We didn't kill them but the pick would come in waves.
Final count was 8 striper's, six or seven blues, a few throw backs and the usual cut offs.
Overall it was great to get out an bang a few on such a nice day.
Nice Capt., clean boat, hard working mate, and only $39.00
Priceless for a short outing.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.
