5/17 no bass report
« on: May 18, 2010, 10:24:38 AM »
Plenty of nice size blues, but no bass landed. We chunked bunker, trolled and cast lures on light tackle. the blues on the light tackle was a epic battle every time. we trolled streches and tube and worm. the tube and worm out caught the streches 3 to 1. the one nice bass we lost at the boat was on the tube and worm. A great day to be out on the water, we enjoyed every minute of it. I'm watching the weather, maybe another try wednesday?

Nice report Paul, Question on the tube and worm setup ???   Did you use the T-Man type with the drail weight and tip the hook with anything like a worm or porkrind? And how long was the tube?
  Thanks,  Eddie

Yes the blues will keep you busy on the lite tackle for sure.
Was the tube on mono, wire, braid?

the tubes I use are home brew, I used a lot of them when kayak fishing. they are lead wighted in the front, and built with wire, then attached to a mono leader. mostly tipped with gulp sandworms.
