a lil help please

Ok so my friend wants to go fishing next weekend from shore and i was wondering where would bea good spot to fish from thats not too far from his house/ he lives in avenel. any input would be great.

Close for you would be the piers in Perth Amboy, A little further, the pier in Keansburg. But since you drove this far I'd do the jetties in the Hook
A nice clam with a rubberband around it should do the trick..

Carteret has a nice New pier. I've heard bass and blues have been caught there over the years, just not sure if I would eat what comes out of there. Can't beat the Hook though. Bay or Ocean side. Man, I miss thows days.
