Headed out for another afternoon double play on the Striper Live-lining Scene. Tony labs, Cool hand Al, Ryan Scuba Nut, Tom Orlinksy, Joe Jigs and Tony Triggs rounded out the afternoon crew.
After seeing the fish on the dock and hearing our Morning report the guys left the dock awaiting there chance at some big Stripers.
Headed just a Hair south and there were fish right where we left them... But No bunker... So made a drift with livies from the morning and put 2 quick one in the boat and missed a bunch more.
Decided to run up north where the big schools of bunker were. Got there and it was a Little tough to make bait with the crowd warfare going on. Made 35 Pieces Boxed a Couple more stripers before evacuating the scene.
Got off some what by ourselves on reads and we started slugging away at em... Mutiples at times... Nice size 20 - 35lbs. Into release Mode.
Setup another drift and this one lasted for the rest of the day... getting better with reading and hookups as we went along. Tony Cap Had the Hot hand. Al released a Nice 38lber!!!
Tom then Hooked up with a Battling monster... fish def did not want to come near the boat. When it did we scene it was huge and def bigger than the 44 from the am. Finally Got it in the boat...Put it on the scale and it read 51/50lbs taped at just under 51 inches. Checked it on the dock and it was just over 50 on one scale and 51.5 on another!! Congrats again Tom on the beauty!!! New best for the Fish Monger as well!!!
Caught away until we ran out of bunker... but had to make a stop when i seen bunker getting pushed like crazy in tight boated and released a few more to end a great Night!!!
By days End the Guys caught 36 Big Stripers Up to 50lbs!!! Keeping a Limit and releasing the rest for another day!!!
Last two Mornings and afternoons days have just been Down right incredible!!!
Great afternoon on the water!!!
Thanks again Guys
