Wake up......It's too quiet here
« on: May 18, 2010, 03:12:00 PM »
There's been some good fishing from the beach the past couple weeks.  Friday was hot, Saturday was insane, Sunday had some fish.  Even on days like to day when the weather sucks the fishing is good.  You just have to be in the right place at the right time.  Try to stay mobile.  If you don't get or see anything after a while, move a few miles.
The Seaside area shops have had some good size fish weighed in today, despite the weather.  20-30+lb fish.
I took a walk out to see what was going on in Seaside today.  20mph+ wind and rain in your face, cold, rough water....but there were a number of guys out there.  And let me tell ya, they deserved whatever they manged to catch today.

Catch or no catch. You got out and that's what counts.

At least you are out on the sand.  I have been doing a lot of family stuff and it looks like it won't stop for a while.  Looks like we will be coming out of retirement in July to shoot a wedding again.  If this keeps up, I will have to start advertising...The only thing is this one is not in Hawaii. :-\

I will be out there in the morning on Tuesday and hope some stragglers are still around.

Happy Catching

We're planning on giving it a try at least once this weekend.  The last two trips we were just in the wrong place when things were happening.  Sometimes you can do everything right and lose because of the spot you pick.
And I'm looking to try getting out there solo next week.  Dr. has me cleared to do pretty much whatever I can tolerate except football, rugby and firefighting.  The arm's moving better and getting stronger.  I'm gonna try casting lefty...it won't be pretty I'm sure.
