Had Larry and friends aboard Today. They do a bunch of trips with us a year and they love their bottom fishing.
Headed out to the bottom Grounds. Ocean was nice... overcast and Flat.
Got set up and picked up right where we left off yesterday...Seabass started flying over the rail. Pretty good keeper to short ratio and Today we had a lot Nicer size seabass!!! Judy had the hot hand early putting a Bunch of fish in the box quick on the first drop!!! Picked like 30 Keepers.
Moved to our next drop... read a Load of life on it. Got set up and we picked at em but after a few minutes they started chewing good and were all mostly nice keepers. Bob had a beauty over 4 Lbs... and a bunch in the 2 lb range. Put a nice load of around 60 keepers in the cooler from this drop!!! When it slowed we made a wiggle and it started over again. Bob rod bent pretty good thought he had a Big Blackfish but it turned out to be a Huge 5lb 12oz Seabass... His second Jumbo off the day!!!
Made a couple more drops and picked away until the guys and girls had a full cooler and a 6 Man Limit in the box!!!
Seabassin off to a GREAT START and we should only see more and more fish showing up with the easterly flow and water temps rising!!!
By days end the crew boxed up 150 Keeper seabass (a 6 man Limit) up to 5lbs 12oz. Some others in the 2-4lb Class. Bunch of Cod but only 1 was a keeper today as well as releasing some keeper size Blackfish!!!

What a Week of great fishing!!! Open Boat Bottom trips Just about all full. Few spots left for live-lining on a couple dates. Dont Miss out fishing has been outstanding!!!
