Recommendations on where to dock fish.
« on: May 25, 2010, 08:17:13 PM »
I have yet to be out on IBSP this season due to no truck and the unwillingness to walk over the dunes and get eaten by the bugs. Work has been hectic and I don't have the time lately.

I was curious if anyone could give me a good location on or around Toms River to fish from a dock or wall, or other.

I know I could find some in the info and I have some ideas of my own so far, but I was hoping to pick some of your brains.

Thanks
Steve

I've seen people fishing off the pier at seaside. Just behind the rides. That may be a little far for you, but it's in the general area. I think.

Ortley may have a pier as well.

Nah Seaside is right over the bridge from me, I am right off Coolidge in Toms River.

Thanks for the info.

Another spot to try is Berkley Island Park between Bayville and Forked River.

Steve you missed a good fishing season so far.  As for the bugs they are not around yet.  Any of the piers in SSP after this weekend will cost you and you will have to have a badge to fish them.

There are 3 piers in SSH on the bay side that are free.  One by the Dock Outfitters and the other 2 just north of there.  Plus there is the Mantalokin Bridge, pier.

Other than that the towns have made it very hard to fish around here anymore.

The summer season has just started.  That means I will not be going over to IBSP on the weekends.  If yolu have days off during the week let me know and if it is possible we could link up and hit the park.

Happy Catching

Paul

How bout at night? any docks open or allowed at night?

as far as a day off during the week, good luck to me if I get one. I will let you know if it happens..

Better news, my fathers house finally sold and now I will have some money to buy me a nice truck. Once I get a truck I will be able to go out whenever I like. hopefully SOON!!
