Tough Fluking Wednesday 6/2
« on: June 03, 2010, 10:30:49 PM »
At last, I finally made it out!!....been way too long.  How do you go from twice a week to once every 2 months??
Couldn't ask for a nicer day on the ocean and couldn't have spent it with better company.  Brought the little sniper with the hopes that he would put on a clinic as usual.  It wasn't meant to be.
No Wind = No Drift = Bucktailing Till Your Arms Fall Off = Tough Day!!
Had to work sooooo hard to scratch out 2 for the box including the pool winning fish around 5 lbs.  Nice first fish of the season.
My son managed to land a dozen+ shorties on the bucktail but nothing worthy of boxing.  First time in years that he didn't take me to school.  Nonetheless, always an incredible time spent with him.  They grow up way too fast!

Good report, looks like you guys were off of Asbury Park by the background in the 3rd picture.

Looks like they were PASSING Asbury Park. You can see the prop wash behind the boat indicating that they are moving. The rods are in the holder indicating they are moving and not fishing.

Paul, there is no good fishing off of Asbury Park.  ;D

Took the photos on our way back.  Just so happened that Asbury was in the background.  Spent all day North off of Sea Bright and Long Branch.
