PM on the Sea Hunter
« on: June 10, 2010, 10:39:26 PM »
My usual capt( my dad) bailed on me this morning, so i decided to just go on any afternoon fluke boat out of highlands... Hunter was closest to my truck, Sold!...

first drift was full of shorts, and i foul hooked a keeper...fought like a 15lb doormat, so i got alittle to over excited... but still a keeper...

next drift over same area and it was totally different... drifted all the way across the channel towards the navy pier, and then a south wind picked up and started sending us back up...had to be a 2+hr drift... alittle too long for not catching, but i am not the capt..

then with alittle time left me ran back across towards the sandy hook barracks, and got back into a good rhythm... and hit one patch that put 3 more keepers in the boat, one being my 5 lb'r that took the pool ...

slow day all in all.. i'd say 60+ shorts and 4 or 5 keepers...for 10 anglers...
