out of Sayreville with friend Ken(Blood Vessel)on his boat with his wife Hon and Erik at around noon with a 1/2 bushel of clams.planned trip was to hit the Scotland grounds and get some seabass.heading around the hook and out the sea conditions worsened, got within maybe 3 miles from the grounds and Ken decides it's a no go with us into some 5 foot seas and coming over the bow.found some structure in 50 ft of water and tried for a short while and I did get 1 keeper seabass.then headed back into the bay and tried for the flatties, picked a few shorts but no real bite, moved different areas in the bay and Hon finally put a keeper in the box at 19 inches.decided that with the clams to find some marks and go on the hook and try clamming for the Striped ones.ended up trying by the Outerbridge but no action, pulled out of there and was going to try the train bridge and we found bunker breaking on top by the Perth Amboy sail boat moorings and did see a striper in the water on top, snagged some bunker and tried some live lining, but no success, tried by the train bridge and in the river, but wasn't meant to be today.got in around 8,still great to be out on the water trying.
