Wind blown Flatfish 6-17-10
« on: June 17, 2010, 08:50:44 PM »
got out today with my son Thomas, now known as the Cobra.. Balki aka Orlando and his cousin Alex, aka Sparky...
Rounded the Hook to a good west wind which got worse and worse as the day progressed which by the way WAS forcasted which is a miracle... anyway.. Worked Sonny Boy Hump, and then the beach in tight from Long Branch back to The Cedars at Sandy Hook... TREMENDOUS amount of shorts in tight to the beach.... fishin wasnt great but conditions REALLY sucked, winds were gusting i am guessing 25 close to 30 at times.... managed to box 7 Keeper fluke and 2 black sea bass, among countless short flat fish..... GOOD to see my son taking an intrest in fishing again with him actually being upset that i was calling it a day as the wind just got to be to much... was also good to see him take the biggest fish of the day at 7.2 lbs .... Back at it Saturday....

Fish on, nice catch!
