Raritan Bay Fluking 6/15
« on: June 15, 2010, 06:38:52 PM »
John and myself out of Sayreville this morning around 7 trying for the flatties.first stop tried in the river with nothing, then out to the triangle area where we had a slow pick of shorts with a lot over the 17 inch mark.I did finally put one in the box at 19 inches, spoke to Ben who was fishing with Salty dog and they were having similar results.in the afternoon made a move to the 1 can Keyport but no action here.moved over to the Reach Channnel in the vicinity of the 18 can and started picking fish every drift but I was only able to box one more at 19 inches and John put one in just over the 18 inch mark.some nice flatties just missing the mark.called it a day and headed in around 2:30.the bite could have been better but we did have some action for our first trip totally commmitted to catching the flat ones.nice day out on the water,it can only get better.     Kez
