Fish Monger Mon 6/14 Live-Line Stripers / Seabass
« on: June 16, 2010, 09:39:11 PM »
Had Joe Hanily aka Anchor Joe Charter aboard for a Day Of Live-Lining stripers. Andy, Russ,Keith Dave and Al rounded out the crew.

With the Live Line Bite being hit or miss. We talked it over to leave early to try and catch the early bite.

Started out making right out front and Went looking for a school of bunker with some fish in them.

Seen a nervous school and it didnt take long for our Andy to Start us off with the first fish. Missed another bite then a big whale and dolphins came through real close to us and da Beach putting on a real show!

Hoped around in bunker schools getting some fish and runoffs. Including Russ big fish @ 40lbs released and Anchor Joes at 38 lbs...Al Landed another about the same... landed a total of 7 nice Bass... and everyone got one so that was nice. But after the morning bite... that was about all she wrote for the bass. Hoped around different schools hoping they would pop back up but only a few Blues.

Headed to the bottom grounds to mix it up and we had some great action on nice seabass... In the short time we bottom fished the guys racked up 53 Seabass along with a couple ling as well as releasin a few blackfish to top off a Nice day!!!

By days end the guys had a Nice Mixed Bag Landing 7 Big Stripers to 40 Lbs. The guys released the bigger bass and kept 4 For the box. 53 Seabass and a couple ling also made it to the cooler!!!

Guys were a blast!!! lotsa fun and laughs and lets not forget the Violator Sandwich!!!

Thanks Again Guys!!!

Bass slaughter  chrz
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.
