Had Ryan Aka Scuba Nut along Son Nicky, Daughter Allissa the princess, Grandpa Shelly, Bruce C and Son Brandon the cooler fuller puller rounded out todays fun family Crew.
Plan was to mix it up with some seabass in the morning and then some fluking for the other half of the day.
Headed out to the bottom grounds... Left over se swell and light wind agaisnt made for perfect drifting conditions.
Drifted over a few small pieces... all were loaded with life and Nice size seasbass... Pretty much drop n reel action... With lots of nice size keepers up to Shelly's Beautiful Knuckle head at 3 1/2 Lbs. All the other were again those nice size quality keepers.
The Kids all caught a Bunch of Nice fish and did great Job with the seabass!!! Little Nicky had a broken wrist in a cast and it didnt slow him down one Bit... His Sis had her Pink /purple rod doubled over all Morning and Branndon always does a Great Job filling up the box for Bruce
By 10 am we had 94 Seabass and 7 Ling in the box and decided that was plenty and switched over to fluking.
Took a ride to the grounds and bucktailed a couple Keepers on our First couple drifts... Then we got one here and one there until the wind came on and put and end to the action as the drift became unmanageable in the deep. Managed 8 Keepers and bruce was nice enough to release a couple more along with a bunch of Shorts. Tried inshore before going in but that wasnt any good for us.
By days end the Crew Boxed Up 94 Seabass along with 7 Ling for over 100 tasty bottom dwellers as well as bucktailing up 8 keeper fluke.
Nice Day on the water with a great Crew. Love seeing the kids catch fish!!!
