Saturday I had the Mercer family out (Drews girlfriend and her folks), Her folks drove in from Ann Arbor, Michigan for the weekend. First time for the folks Fluking. First drop was in 65ft of water off of Asbury Park, 2 flatties and 2 in the box nice start, they must have been the only 2 fish there. Moved inshore to give the folks some steady action and spent the rest of the day feeding the small ones. Sunday the wife and I got to spend the day on the water
We boated a fish smorgasboard, we pulled out of the inlet and headed for the deep water up north off of Deal, by the time we stopped on our mark our sweat was sweating
HOLY CRAP and not a breeze to be felt. All the Skates you wanted moved a little further north picked up a ling, a SeaBass and the wife put a keeper fluke in the box
tried to work the area power drifting we picked up a couple more shorts. We moved in to the Red Church rock pile and had a nice drift and picked through the shorts to put another keeper in the box. We also had us a smooth doggie and some robins which we used for bait. On the way out we were givin a nice show from a large pod of dolphin always nice to see
I will be heading out tomorrow to finish out the 3 day weekend
