Thursday 7/8...Had the Alan Nelson party on board with intentions of running south but the pea soup fog and south wind had everyone agreeing to stay local....hit some of the usual spots for a good pull of flatties to 21 inches and a a few party sea robins as well...Katie Purcel had the big fish at 21 inches.
Friday...had Shimano Rep Jamie Schaeffer and crew on board for some Sea Bass and Fluke....I knew we would be in for a tough day the way the south wind was already blowing thursday night. Hit the hook and greeted by 4 foot south swells...made the drive. Fishing sucked to say the least...few keeper sea bass and a couple keeper fluke...ran north into a pod of birds working rainfish and anchovies with the blues...played with them for an hour till the guys had enough then went fluking in the bay. you will have these days i guess!
i think someone from njswf was hailing me on 68 but when i responded i couldnt get them back....sorry!
