Fishguts 8/3 Ocean/bay combo trip

After a day off to do some maintenance it felt good to get back out. I was not real sure of the forcast and at what time the winds would really start cranking but conditions were very nice up to about 1pm. Todays trip was a short 8 hour ocean/bay combo for Hughe,Tom and Wendall. Plan was to grab some seabass, then hit the toggies and finally finish up in the bay fluking.The anglers enjoyed very good good seabass action. They picked through about 200 fish to grab 43 keepers in just a few hours of fishing. Many 12 and a 1/8th fish released also. The blackfishing started with a slow pick of short fish and built to a fair bite of 16" fish. Plenty of empty hooks coming up as the bite was picky. The 3 anglers finished up in the bay with a slow pick of short fluke under strong south winds. We were very fortunate that the winds held of as long as they did. Looks like plenty of wind this week
