I got this Inquiry this morning.

I told him.. yea  he's bascly screwed  and should have a NY licence.

Hi rod ,,,im going crazy with these stupid rules on fishing I live in jersey city  new jersey,,, i dock,,,and cast off from liberty state park and here it goes if im fishing in the  Hudson river lets say,,,,, near verrazano bridge ny waters  the size limit on the fluke is 18 in jersey and 21 in new york ,,,,what rules,,,, do i go by since i dock and live in jersey i say no matter what ,,,,,,it should be 18 inch limit for me ,,,,,,but i wont take the chance on getting tickets  for theses stupid rules,,,, it cost a lot of money to fish and boat these days on gas and bate and dock ramp fee,s and someone told me the water at liberty state park new jersey  are,,,,new york waters i don't see how it can be  ,,,,,, thank u for your help,,,,,,,,,,if you  don't know the rules  maybe you can refer me to someone who ever knows,,,thanks again.

IF I CATCH FISH  LIKE FLUKE OVER 18 TO 20 INCH IN SANDY HOOK NJ,,,YOU MEAN  I CANT RIDE THE HUDSON RIVER TO GET HOME WITH MY CATCH,,,,THANK U FOR YOUR HELP ON THIS MATTER,,,,,

The short answer. If in NY waters you can not be in possession of a summer flounder less than twenty one inches, that is even if you are just passing thru.  nts

wow,,,,,well i got ny nj lic for fishing salt water and i think these rules suck and should adjusted for both states ny nj to be as one,,,, and i say it should be 18inch size limit on fluke for both states who share the hudson river,,,i cant believe someone really  made these stupid ass rules and i cant believe nobody wants to speak out about this stupid ass rule,,,,,,,,,,,njriverman
