Raritan Bay Flukin' 8/9
« on: August 09, 2010, 05:39:56 PM »
At the ramp in Keyport by 6:00.Made bait quick and headed out.Stopped at the # 1 can, nothing doin' there.Hit the 11a,slow with small fish.Headed for the reach, had some more fish there, but still slow and small.Hit the TC,little going on there.Drifted the tip of the Hook from inside to out.More small fish.Made a last stop before heading in @ the TC again. Finally put a fish in the box.Repeated the drift for another keeper.Repeat the drift and this time it's Ben turn.Fish seemed to turn on latter in the day (early afternoon ) not much of a morning bite.Fish slept in today.Fun on the water, met an old friend,Frank on the "Wanderer" who had two in the box early.
