IBSP 9-24-10
« on: September 25, 2010, 08:11:30 AM »
Evening trip this time with the wife.  Arrived around dusk, just in time to have enough light to read the water and get things set up.
Weather.com said the wind was S13 and forecast to decrease as the night went on to S8.  Wrong!  Wind was S, but 15-20 and increased to 20-25.
We found a nice piece of structure in the south end of the park to set up camp.
Wanting to avoid the damn skates, no clams this trip.  Bait was mullet, bunker and metals.
Turned out to be another great night of catching.  Nothing of size, but the consistent action made up for it.
We lost count again, but we landed over 20 blues in the 2-3lb range.....and a handful of the damn skates.
Not a single fish hooked on metals/teasers this time.  They bit at the metals/teasers, but not a single hookup.  All the blues were caught on mullet.  Bunker chunks produced only skates.  Heads got nothing.
Great night on the beach with the wife and dog.  Nice fire and a full moon for light  ;D

Those are some of the best nights.  Good going Chris.  I'll be out there early Sunday morning, before sunrise I hope.

Way to go Chris...I want to get my rig into your hands and let you try this thing.  It is not rocket science just the marriage of a couple of rigs combined.

Some called it a stinger rig but only with a FF setup.  It takes the principles of the FF, the idea of the mullet rig and the hardware of stringing Ballyhoo.

Sounds more complicated than it is.

Happy Catching

Paul
