Perth Amboy Pier Fishing?

Want to out with my dad for a little snapper fishing... I know that you used to be able to catch some in perth amboy on the pier... has anyone been out there recently? is anything biting?

Slow as far as I know.  Some small and bigger blues running the river though so throw out a chunk on a fish finder rig if you go.  Four ounce pyramid sinker about right there for this type of rig.
