Had Andrew Donaldson on for an Open Boat run for some Tasty Bottom Fillets....headed out of Highlands at 06:30 in some "sporty" seas,rounded the hook and headed to the reef. Took a look at a couple spots but didnt see much life so i turned towards a blackfish spot and had nice marks...dropped the hook and had instant action for the remainder of the incoming. Had a nice rogue wave pop my anchor out so i reset just to the north. slow pick from there. Had enough of that, pulled anchor, motored to another piece about 1/4 mile away. From that point on it was constant fish flying over the rails and some nice ones at that! Tally for the day ....over 65 Porgies to 3 lbs, 7 nice Sea Bass(didnt really cooperate today) and 2 keeper Blackfish to 4lbs. They were having so much fun that i just couldnt pull the plug on the trip and just let them have at it!
