Reel for Toggin?

I've been eyeing the Avet SX and hemming and hawing on the purchase for awhile now. Had the opportunity to checkout Scott G's new Atlas 200 (?) the other night. Similar in size and specs (and price.)

Is this reel enough to pair with, say, my Tsunami 661XH rod for a toggin' setup, or should I move up to  a little larger reel like the MX? I like the small size and light weight of the SX, and could probably use it on a lighter setup for all around hacking about, but would like to put together a nice stout tog setup.

Thoughts and recommendations please.

I think the SX is Perfect.  I have 2 MX's and I think they would be over kill for tog fishing..

my sx does the job perfectly...i am picking up 2 atlas reels to try on my boat next season tho.

I used an sx for toggin last season and caught my 2 best tog ever with it. That said lots of tog fishermen prefer star drags for bottom fishing. You will see lots of newells used by the sharpies, the 220&229 are really lite and time tested. Your choice lever vs star drag. I lock my drag down either way so very little line comes off. Another topic is mono vs braid but I digress.......

I picked up an Avet SX during the summer.  For dragging bait for fluke it worked well.  Livelining for bass it'll be great.  Tried it a few times bottomfishing.  Reel is very good but leverdrag is an issue to me for tog'n.  Little too much to go from free spool to where I want the drag and really can't lock it down.  I fish 30# Fireline with up to 60# mono topshots/leaders so ain't that easy to break out of the bottom when snagged as there is a max drag setting on the reels.

With my Ocea Jigger it aint a problem as it has a spool lock feature. My Newells are easy to just tighten the star drag, pop out and then back off a little. Both one click into freespool too.

Not saying the Avets won't work, but for me, not my top choice as a dedicated blackfish reel.

SX is the right size though.
