Irish Ayes trip 10/10/10
« on: October 12, 2010, 10:11:29 PM »
I (Southpaw)and my girlfriend Liz fished on Sunday With Capt. Joe. We met at the dock around 8 am Joe brought along Andy and Tony a newcomer. Left the inlet and headed north. Stopped on some marks and tried jigging, Liz manages to bring up a small Weaky. Joe has his pole sitting in the rod holder decides to make a move and starts reeling up when he gets hit. After a short fight he boats a nice 20# striper. After some more jigging with no results the trolling gear comes out. Working around the rocks we manage to pick up two more stipers heaviest at 22# couple of blues in the 8- 10 lb. range and a falsie. Finished off the day by doing a little bottom  fishing picked up a few porgies, sea bass and blackfish. Andy manages the biggest blackfish at 6.5 lbs. Good day with Joe and the rest of the crew as always. clp
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!
